The easiest way to get to Anguilla is to fly there, but you can also fly into Saint Maarten, and then either take a flight, ferry, or boat to Anguilla. There are direct flights from San Juan, Puerto Rico (1 hour) and from Miami (2.5 hours) into SMX Saint Maarten. If you choose to fly to Anguilla from Saint Maarten, it is only an 8 minute trip! The public ferry is very affordable, and we also offer some reasonably priced private transfers, to give you the best experience. The boat ride is only approximately 25 minutes until you land at Blowing Point, where the ferries arrive and depart from in Anguilla. There is a small Customs Office there, where you provide some basic papers and identification, and when you exit there are many taxis available to escort you wherever you need to go. Many of the hotels will also meet you upon arrival, at Wallblake Anguilla Airport, or at Blowing Point.
What is the weather like in Anguilla?
Anguilla’s weather is warm with highs in the high 80’s ( 32c) and lows in the low 70’s (22c) with very little rain and light breezes. Generally clear skies throughout the winter and light clouds in the summer months. Anguilla is not typically prone to storms or Hurricanes, and the weather is quite consistently nice, which makes planning your perfect visit that much easier!

English is the official and spoken language. The people are very warm and friendly, so it’s easy to meet people along the way, both tourists and Anguillians alike! This also makes Anguilla a comfortable destination to visit, regardless of where you are coming from.

Is it difficult to drive on Anguilla?
Driving is not a problem on Anguilla. Just remember to drive on the left and bring your drivers permit. Car rentals are available at numerous locations on the island, and they are all privately owned local rental providers. There is little to no traffic in Anguilla, and it is fun to explore the islands various beaches and hidden treasures, but it is not necessary to drive as you can also safely and easily taxi anywhere for reasonable taxi fares.
